AP Source: Michael Jackson dies in LA hospital

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted "King of Pop" who emerged from childhood superstardom to become the entertainment world's most influential singer and dancer before his life and career deteriorated in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. He was 50.

The person said Jackson died in a Los Angeles hospital. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told the newspaper.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

His 1982 album "Thriller" — which included the blockbuster hits "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — remains the biggest-selling album of all time, with more than 26 million copies.

He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters.

His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

As years went by, he became an increasingly freakish figure — a middle-aged man-child weirdly out of touch with grownup life. His skin became lighter and his nose narrower. He surrounded himself with children at his Neverland ranch, often wore a germ mask while traveling and kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles as one of his closest companions.

In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003. He had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him. The case took a fearsome toll on his career and image, and he fell into serious financial trouble.

Jackson was preparing for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13. He was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concert, an extravaganza that was to capture the classic Jackson magic: showstopping dance moves, elaborate staging and throbbing dance beats.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital as word of his death spread. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, which is near Jackson's rented home, was roped off with police tape.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson has just died," a woman boarding a Manhattan bus called out, shortly after the news was annunced. Immediately many riders reached for their cell phones.

In New York's Times Square, a low groan went up in the crowd when a screen flashed that Jackson had died, and people began relaying the news to friends by cell phone.

"No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow," Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend sent to his telephone. "It's like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died."

Folks, these are the heroes of my time!

And now, another one of them has gone to that place in the sky and will surely be missed by all their loving fans worldwide.

I listened to the Jackson 5 during my growing up years, and I follow their music closely.

They contributed so much to the "disco era" along with the likes of The Bee Gees, Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer just to mention a few.

He will be greatly missed by youngsters as well, his Neverland Ranch is sort of a playground for kids.

According to news, he died of a cardiac arrest.

He was supposed to or planning to give a concert soon but he left us without saying a word!

His songs will be "immortalized" especially to those from my generations, very such about that.

Maybe God need him to sing in His choir? Maybe to teach his dance steps? The moonwalk in heavens?

Well, everything that has life in it will face death one day.

Are we prepared to meet God? Have we "accepted" Him into our lives?

Rest in Peace, Michael. You have done your part by contributing so much of your talents towards this civilisation.

Maybe that particular talent is needed somewhere?

Farrah Fawcett Dies At 62

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Farrah Fawcett has died after a long battle with cancer, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Farrah died at 9:28 AM on Thursday at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California.

She was 62.

"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away," Farrah's longtime companion, Ryan O'Neal, said in a statement to Access. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

The actress, best known for her role in the '70s TV show "Charlie's Angels" and her iconic hair, was in the hospital earlier this month and a source close to Farrah told Access Hollywood at the time that she was not doing well.

While her condition was deteriorating, those closest to Farrah wanted to take her home for her final days.

Her death comes just days after O'Neal revealed he had asked Farrah to be his wife.

"If she's feeling a little better, I've asked her to marry me again and she's agreed," Ryan said in a new interview with Barbara Walters for ABC's "20/20," set to air June 26.

"We will as soon as she can say, 'Yes.' Maybe she can nod her head. I promise you, we will."

However, a source has confirmed to Access that Ryan and Farrah did not get married prior to her death.

In addition, Access has learned Ryan and Farrah's son, Redmond O'Neal, did not get to see his mother a second time on a court-allowed visit from jail. The last time Redmond saw Farrah was during his first and only court-allowed visit on April 25.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department told Access no requests had been made to transport Redmond to see his mother before she died.

Following her diagnosis with anal cancer in 2006, Farrah waged a very public battle against the disease, documenting her fight in "Farrah's Story," which aired in May on NBC and will re-air on June 26 at 8 PM.

After several rounds of chemotherapy treatments, Farrah announced that she was cancer-free, but in May 2007, the cancer had returned and she underwent further treatment in Germany.

The star was born on February 2, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Even at a young age, Farrah caught people's attention - she was given the title "Most Beautiful" in high school.

She became an icon for her role as Jill Munroe in "Charlie's Angels" in the mid-'70s, inspiring fans to imitate her feathered blonde hair. She rose to sex symbol status thanks in part to a now-legendary swimsuit poster that sold over 12 million copies.

Farrah left the popular show after a single season, going on to star in a number of films, television shows and made-for-TV movies such as 1984's "The Burning Bed," which earned her an Emmy nomination.

The actress made further headlines in 1995, when she posed for Playboy at age 48.

Farrah is survived by her father James, longtime partner Ryan O'Neal, their son, Redmond O'Neal, who has dealt with numerous legal issues over the last few years, including most recently, an arrest for allegedly trying to bring heroin into an LA-area jail facility on April 5.

I just had to give Ms Fawcett a "space" in my Blog!

We "met" on TV through "The Charlie's Angels" which starred Kate Jackson * Jaclyn Smith. I fell in love with her hair back then. I think she was sponsored by Wella, a very well known brand name for hair and beauty care products back then.

Ladies of our time were simply "Fawcett-ized" by her hair. Pictures of her wearing swim suit were selling like nobody's business, her smiles were simply enticing.
Every ladies (well nearly,) wanted to look like Ms Fawcett back then.

In my opinion, no other TV ladies can be as beautiful as Farrah Fawcett Majors back then. Not by a mile!

Oops! Yes, she at that material time, was married to our "Six Million Dollar Man" Lee Majors, or rather known as the Strongest Man on TV. Since I don't wish to write about the TV series here, so I'll leave it at that.

But those were the Top TV Series of our time "immemorial."

Then of course, she got into a messy divorce, somehow met Ryan O'Neill along the way, whose name is made known to me because of the TV series called "Peyton Place."

I watched those also, somethin' like "Dallas" if you guys could remember?

No, to the younger generations what's mentioned here is a "blur" and maybe Wikipedia could help them understand my time, our time better.

Ms Fawcett made movies though the success and impact on my life was minimal as compared to her TV's phenomenal success story.

She posed for the man-ly magazine, Playboy. How myself and cousins can't take away our eyes-off that centerfold picture, Ms Fawcett's in centerspread! Simply THE Sexiest lady on the face of this planet, then!!

Now, she has left us to go to that place in the sky.

Thanks for the memories, Farrah Fawcett. You "caught" my eyes and I was very young to know "I felt in love with your hair" then. Maybe with Ms Fawcett?

So sad we didn't have the chance to meet in this lifetime. Maybe in heavens?

Rest in peace, Madam. You have served your purpose.

Till another space and time.

Persistency pays!

We did all that could be done, and finally we managed to deliver this beauty this evening. To convince anybody to buy something from you is never easy.

Who dares say "salesmanship" is easy let him/her step forward?

We attended motivation talks, heard some of Malaysian talented Speakers "live" or on pre-recorded CDs, even DVDs.

Your mindset has its directions which need constant adjustment so the "alignment" won't be so far off.

Tell that to the next guy, he will be very "piss-off" by your comment.

But today, we did just that, convinced our client to buy his Toyota Wish from us.

I didn't get his picture in here, but I managed to take a picture of his NEW TOYOTA WISH.

Congratulations, Doc. We hope you'll enjoy many hours of driving this unit.

Just give us a call should you encounter any problems, we would be very glad to assist you.

Rudy's Housewarming Party

( Taman Sri Tong Seng, Kota Samarahan, a new housing Estate )

( As always, before the makan started, Prayers are mentioned )

That's how we spent our Sunday evening. Early this morning, Rudy called his auntie Jen about this programme at his new house somewhere in Muara Tuang.

Rudy is of course, Stef AKA adMF's first cousin. We started well after 7:30pm. it was raining then. So the night was not exactly hot since it was raining though not exactly a heavy downpour.

Only closed family members were present tonight. It was rather tame, more of a family affair, and those from Kampung Emperoh Jambu & his wife's kampung folks, from Kampung Praya also from Padawan area were there.

Rudy bought this house for RM162k, which is worth his money in the long run. The price for properties are always up, no matter how bad the economy is doing.

Its so good to meet nearly everyone there and the Gawai mood is obviously still not over just yet.

Fondest Memories of : The Batu Lintang Neighborhood

I guess many especially Gov't Officers have stayed in this neighborhood
called Batu Lintang.

The BLTC or Batu Lintang Teachers' College is located nearby, (at one time used by ITM as their Campus), the SMK & SRB Batu Lintang, the Vocational School, the Fire Department are all part of the community here.

I was born in these parts some 46 years ago, so naturally I have a soft spot when I saw how bad the conditions of these Flats and Quarters these days. I was told most of the housing materials were stripped off by "thieves" after the folks staying here left.

The folks here have all moved out now, and the single-wooden houses have all been demolished, not even a unit is left standing when I took these pictures yesterday.

I can still remember my memorable times living here. Not entirely a blank memory for me.

In the name of continued development for Kuchingites, I guess this neighborhood just got to go ....... though it may cause many of us to shed a tear or two when we reminisce about the good and the bad times living in this neighborhood.

Th footbal field I'm sure produced many footballing "stars" especially amongst the Indian community staying nearby.

Come to think of it, the Batu Lintang Shophouses have been serving the neighborhood needs for more that 46 years? Un-believable folks, but true.

Well readers, "kenangan, cuma tinggal kenangan" especially for all of us who have since then moved out into a newer and a more "canggih" neighborhood.

If you care to look at the pictures again, you will notice those Flats, the Quarters HAVE NO FENCING surrounding them.

WHY?

Those days, "tak'de pencuri or kecurian." Very few theft cases were reported and recorded then.

The Police Force were almost non-existence back then. No kiddin'you, folks.

Nowadays, NO NEED TO SAY, La! Kasut letak kat "dalam" rumah pun boleh jalan ...

ClaudiaFG visiting MFSB today!

(LadyJenn with Claudia Fay Geres at MFSB, Desa Ilmu, Kota Samarahan)

This morning ClaudiaFG or known better as Claudia AF7 came over to our Office in Kota Samarahan. She took the opportunity to say "hello' to those from RUAIKITAI.COM, whom I think was caught by surprise as she was using MF's name to log in.

(kaban, ukai tundi bungah, sigi nyengala iya ti nyaut tanya kita)

She is in the process of selecting a song for her single in the BM language.

So folks, be on the look out for it. Go for the "ORI" copies, please.

Support our local music industry, support our local act, our local music scene.

To those in Matu-Daro Mukah, this 27th of June, she will be taking the stage along with Zizi AF7 to entertain the locals there. So you folks have a date with Claudia and Co. for that week.

Toyota Alphard MZG 3.0 & Toyota Caldina

For Your Eyes Only.

Alphard MZG has the better "specs" compared to the G model, that I found out yesterday as I was scouting around comparing various aspects about the Alphard, the "latest" craze in town!

The Caldina, is not a 7th seater, is "biasa" in terms of looks, everything about it.
Its more saleable and appealing to the younger generations, those "yuppies" and the likes.

Certainly a very hectic & busy week for Merekah Fajar S/B

Toyota Alphard 2004 3.0G

Toyota Cygnus 2005, 5 sp w/sunroof & accessories

Honda CRV '97 (a 2nd hand/re-con model/ considered sold to a relative of ours)

To Almighty God the Glory!

This week, both of us have been kept busy by our Valued Clients.

It started with Honda CRV '97, a (child specialist) doctor & a family friend who is getting himself a Toyota Wish after driving the CRV for several years now, then came along another family friend an architect by profession and now into landscaping business (he has other businesses besides his landscaping)but who unfortunately lost his 4 wheeler when he was enjoying his lunch somewhere around BDC somewhile back, and our fellow church member, who is very much is into "imported cars" who is looking to get himself the Toyota Alphard.

The ETA shipment for the Alphard is within the next 2 weeks for the shipment (is expected) to reach Kuching. Not to mention we have yet to deliver our brand new Myvi, our 2nd hand Waja & a 2nd hand D-Max! Of course, we are very happy, simply ecstatic by the response! & about the progress made by MFSB, now into its 8th month in operation.

We have so much to thank Almighty God, for the success story so far, and with the support of our friends, relatives, our business partners.

We couldn't have done without you folks.

May God bless each and everyone of you, especially our clients, referrals who have placed their trust in us to deliver.

Though the current economic situation is said to be slow, MFSB has certainly shone like a light standing out in a dark room.

Once again, Thank You for the trust all of us have placed on our shoulders. You're our inspiration and strength.

To help Petey change his mind ??

Proton launched a special edition of the Proton Persona SE today, priced at RM59,800. The Persona SE is only available in two colours – Blue Haze and Brilliant Red. Like all new units of the Persona, the new Proton Persona SE is powered by the Campro IAFM engine which offers a smoother torque curve compared to the old Campro engine. It is only available with an automatic transmission.

The following are the differences in equipment for the special edition model:
Leather-wrapped seats, steering wheel, gear knob and trim
Meter panel from the GEN2 CPS
Different alloy wheel design (15 inch)
Cruise Control
Smoked headlamps
Silver matte door handles and front grille
A bodykit consisting of front, side and rear skirts and a subtle spoiler
A Proton-rebadged windscreen-mounted GPS navigation device

The GPS device loads its maps from an SD card, so it should be easy to replace the maps whenever there are updates. I noticed there were some points of interests loaded onto the map such as local restaurants so if you’re in an area you do not know and want to grab a quick bite the GPS should be quite useful in that sense.

Courtesy from paultan.org (This was posted on paultan.org many moons ago, so please don't be mistaken by what you just read above)

Pete, the price quoted is for those in Pen. M'sia.

You can read the "specs" here. Th GPS needs updating. I saw the last unit sold by us, the unit was "out of date" but the main roads are still there. Just minor adjustments need to be done upon receiving the GPS set.

(Anang tusah, ni tau tesat diau ba Kuching ditu ??)

Once you're ready bro, just let us know. maybe get a beautiful number to go with it? We have our contacts to get the number for you.

"Ngiling Bidai" on the 27th June Dynasty Hotel in Miri

If all goes well, Merekah Fajar & LadyJenn will join in the Ngiling Tikai/Bidai Celebrations, this year in Miri. Johnny Chuat has kindly agreed to share his table with the both of us ...

God bless you, brother! I'm trying to make some kind of arrangement so as not to waste any precious time while there.

We'll try to make the most of it to meet with fellow RUAIKITAI.COM members, whom many are not familiar to us except maybe over the phone or e-mail.

We are expected to be there on the 26th of June, but I don't know the flight schedule yet. We may fly in to Bintulu on that day, maybe pay a courtesy call to those working for PIP (Pegari Iban Production, the producer for the Iban-Pegari Magazine)

It's all under discussion. Leaving Kuching is never easy when we worked for our last Company but since we are operating our own these days, its much easier for us to move around. We plan our own programmes, so just pray we can settle those important businesses before the 26th of June. Hopefully, well ahead of the 26th dateline.

So, if any of you folks residing in Kuching wants to tag along, please do so. This is one opportunity we can mingle with those from Bintulu and Miri, especially those of RUAIKITAI.COM.
